Amanda is a passionate graduate from the Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), specializing in kinesiology and exercise science. Following her degree, she achieved her credentials in becoming a Registered Kinesiologist. Amanda is passionate about the importance of exercise and believes in the power of exercise in recovery. In addition Amanda has gone on to achieve her Massage Therapy Degree through Trillium College. With additional credentials in cupping therapy, laser therapy, and cognitive training. As a NeuroChangers Massage Therapist and Kinesiologist Amanda has many years of experience treating in the neurological setting and has developed a way to integrate many different styles and techniques into her treatments. Dr. Mariusz is the current clinic director at both of our Whitby locations. He is a graduate of AECC University College in Bournemouth, England where he received his Master’s degree in Chiropractic with First Class Honors. Prior to that, he graduated from UOIT with a Bachelor of Health Science, specializing in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
During his time at UOIT he had the opportunity to be an athletic therapist student trainer where he treated and traveled with the varsity men’s soccer team. While completing his chiropractic degree in England, Mariusz had the opportunity to work as an intern for the English Premier League football club AFC Bournemouth, where he treated academy, Under-21, and first team players. Upon returning to Canada he was the team doctor for Okanagan Hockey Academy in Whitby where he traveled with the team providing chiropractic, rehabilitation, and first aid care.
Dr. Mariusz prides himself in his evidence-based approach and belief in the importance of exercise. He understands each patient is different and therefore he uses a variety of treatment methods based on the individual’s goals and needs. Dr. Mariusz uses a diversified adjustment technique and is certified in acupuncture/dry needling, concussion management, IASTM, cupping therapy, K-Taping and many more. Matt is a graduate of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario where he received his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. He continued his post-graduate education in orthopedic manual therapy for the treatment of spinal and peripheral joint dysfunction, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Matt is Titleist Performance Institute Certified to assess/treat golfers trying to improve their game or recover from a golf injury. In addition to his advanced training in orthopedics, Matt has training in concussion management, PoNS Therapy for balance dysfunction, and medical acupuncture.
